ABOUT THE COLLECTION

Miranda

Fall/winter 2020

Colors are a form of nonverbal communication, which nature uses abundantly. Humans are hugely affected by this because our eyes are a well-developed organ. At first, seeing in colors helped us in the transition from the Neanderthal man to the homosapiens, where we were able to differentiate the edible fruits from the poisonous ones by looking at them in more detail. To bring the colors of nature to our clothes mean that we are also sending a message to the world, consciously or not.

Carmen Miranda was known for wearing colorful tropical clothing, and I believe that she used color on her advantage, exhibiting her charm while bringing people together.

For this collection, I created exotic fruit prints, which are intended to create a positive impact around those who interact with the garments, just like Carmen Miranda did.
